Services Overview
Our one-on-one tutoring and test prep services can take place in-person at our office in Pasadena, or on Zoom. In-person and Zoom both have advantages: in-person allows for a hands-on approach to materials and textbooks, and can be better for a student’s focus; when meeting students via Zoom, our tutors can use a virtual whiteboard and share their screens for instant demonstrations. Our expert tutors can help answer homework questions, teach class material, and help with study skills, organization, or school projects. Our one-to-one instruction is tailored to each individual student’s needs. Our goal is to ensure that students have a successful learning experience with us which they can transfer to the classroom, library, and home.
How it works
Schedule a complimentary phone call or Zoom meeting with Tom for a quick consultation. Based on your conversation, he will match your student with the appropriate tutor. Tom will set the first appointment and introduce you to your tutor via email. Following appointments can be set with the tutor directly, through Tom, or on our web booking service. You will receive weekly reports on your student’s progress and challenges. No need to purchase packages or commit to a number of sessions; you can book sessions as needed or set up a weekly appointment. You have the choice to pay per session or once a month. We accept Venmo and all major credit cards.
For test preparation, students will take a complimentary practice test at our Pasadena office. We will then analyze their data and create a personalized proposal based on the results.
