Course Overview

This course will provide students with research-based methods of reading to learn, organization, time management, and scheduling. Our Study Skills course is based on empirical evidence that shows that students who master certain skills are more likely to be successful in school. We will teach students the most impactful of these tricks, and how and when to use them appropriately. As a culminating activity, our last session will focus on the application of these skills to ensure that students are able to take these skills with them and apply them in real-life situations. Lastly, one-on-one follow-ups with a personal tutor will be available throughout the academic year to ensure the mastery of these study skills.

Mundo Academy is dedicated to ensuring Flintridge Sacred Heart students get into their dream school, and we will teach you the best tricks of the trade to make the most out of your academic experience exclusively for Flintridge Sacred Heart students in the 9th grade.

YOUR INSTRUCTOR

Marina is an experienced educator and the president of Mundo Academy. She has over 20 years of teaching and tutoring experience. Due to her personal experiences with students and parents, Marina saw a great need to develop a Study Skills Course. Research shows that teachers are often overwhelmed with their required course content and workload that there is simply no time left to teach students the important study skills needed for academic success. Alongside Marina, students will gain experience using effective study skills and will receive personalized attention to attain mastery of these skills.
